U.S. Cyber Command Appoints Reid Novotny as New CAIO
U.S. Cyber Command has a new chief artificial intelligence officer. Brig. Gen. Reid Novotny, who was tapped to serve in the role, said his priority will be ensuring that AI strengthens the nation’s cyber forces and improves decision-making advantages. Novotny previously served as the National Guard Bureau’s director of intelligence and cyber effects operations and most recently as the Office of the National Cyber Director’s senior military policy adviser.
Equinix Names Yang Song as New SVP and CAIO
Equinix announced the appointment of Yang Song, Ph.D., as SVP, Chief Data Science and AI Officer. In this role, Song will lead Equinix’s global data science and AI organization, embedding intelligence into every facet of the company, from processes to platforms and experiences for its customers and employees alike.
Daniele Magazzeni Appointed CAIO at UBS
Leading Swiss bank wealth manager, UBS, has appointed Daniele Magazzeni as Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO), a move aimed at advancing the firm’s AI strategy, driving innovation, and expanding the use of emerging technologies across its operations. Magazzeni brings extensive experience in AI research and in scaling enterprise AI solutions.
Teradata Announces Josh Fecteau as Chief Data and AI Officer (CDAO)
Teradata announced the appointment of Josh Fecteau as its Chief Data and AI Officer (CDAO), underscoring the increasingly central role of data and AI as critical drivers of business success. Jim Zimmerman Announced as New CAIO at INVENT
INVENT, the leading platform solving for the integration and data management challenges in wealth management, announced the appointment of Jim Zimmerman as its Chief AI Officer. The State of Oklahoma Announces New CAIO – Tai Phan
Oklahoma has added an AI executive position to its technology organization, appointing Tai Phan as its first chief AI and technology officer. In this role, Phan is charged with advancing digital government through responsible AI adoption at scale.
Matthew Henderey Joins Balyasny as New CAIO
Balyasny’s AI team has made big hires in the past from major AI talent hubs. Matthew Henderey has joined Balyasny as a director of data science. In the role, Henderey said he led the buildout of a platform allowing engineering and technology staff in the agency to have access to AI services.
